The Czech Auctioneers Association (CAA)
is the national organisation for licensed auctioneers who perform auctions in the Czech Republic. It was established in March 2000 under special law to allow solving relations between creditors and debtors.
The main purpose of the CAA:
- To establish the highest standards of business ethics among members of the CAA.
- To develop and promote equitable trade practices and high standards of ethics in the auctions.
- To provide a means by which the members of the CAA could co-ordinate their efforts for the advancement of their profession and/or services relevant to the auctions.
- To contribute to the progress and advancement in every lawful manner through lawful acts and actions promoting the welfare of the auctions
- To develop through responsible promotion a new understanding and wider acceptance of auction methods.
- To Collect and present information relating to auctions in the Czech Republic.
The Czech Auctioneers Association is very useful for foreign investors in the Czech Republic. At present it is talked about as the third wave of the privatisation in the Czech Republic. A lot of assets (especially reality estates of debtors) can be obtained by means of claims which are solved by auctions.
